I highly recommend this book

I highly recommend this book, as well as watching Brad Yates's youtube videos...They are amazing, and can help you deal with almost any issue you could possibly imagine, from anxiety to insecurity to grief to insomnia. I'm eating and sleeping better than I have in my whole life. He also seems warm and genuinely caring, which is something that helps when trusting someone (even if only via book or online video) to deal with problems that can make you feel vulnerable and afraid. I am so much more relaxed, happy, and confident, I have an easier time making friends and speaking in public. It definitely takes commitment but I can honestly say tapping with Brad a few minutes a day has changed my life.

I'm glad I purchased it.

I ordered this book and then it sat on my kindle for a while because I didn't feel the scripts worked when I started at the beginning of the book and tried working my way through it from 1 to 101.

This book opened up and began to make a difference when I allowed myself to use it intuitively. I dowsed whether I should tap one of the scripts 1-50 or 51-101. Then would continue to dowse until the one my higherself wanted me to use told me through dowsing to do. I work five scripts each morning and two or three in the evening.

Last year, I averaged $250 for each commission I made from my employer and this year I am averaging $300+.

A great reference source for freelancers and bloggers to have handy. I think the Kindle version might be easier for some.

This is a great pocket grammar book to have around. I am a freelance writer/blogger and used this while proofing my last articles. It helped me brush up on a few things I've been overlooking. I found the reminder about how to use compound adjectives very helpful. Personally, I am not always sure when to use the hyphen for certain phrases. In reality, I forgot the rules. You will be very surprised to find out how much you've forgotten once you start using this book. I have the soft cover book and don't mind using it. However, I think the Kindle version might be easier for some to use. Regardless of the version it will come in handy. (I feel like buying some kindle for a few social media posters who need help...) I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Well, I paid $0.01 for it.

The perfect campanion

This handy book is small and compact and easy to use. Not only does it come with examples of what not to use but what to use properly. It is divided into sections that make sense, are well organized, and includes index and table of contents so you can find what topic you are looking for easily. If anyone has a dictionary and thesaurus on their shelf, this must be included as well. This book is exceptional for all writers, students, and teachers. As a writer myself, this is staying near my keyboard at all times and I would recommend this book to everyone.

great guide

I love writing. It's one of my favorite hobbies. That having been said, there is a slightly less fun part to writing - which is editing and making sure you've used correct grammar. This doesn't always happen with me on things like amazon reviews, but for my more serious work, I really like to make sure I'm writing things correctly. This book has come in so handy for that. It's almost like a guidebook for when I get stuck. There's so much good information in here, and it's all laid out in a way that it's fairly easy to find what you're looking for. I definitely prefer the physical copy of this book to the kindle version because, for me personally, it's much easier to flip around with a physical book rather than a digital copy.

The physical book is really nice quality. It has a nice suede-textured cover and it's a great size - not too small or too large. I'm really pleased with this book and I would definitely recommend it to students or to anyone who enjoys writing. I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

About the Author
Harvey Karp, M.D., is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the USC School of Medicine. First off, I completely believe that the techniques in here are going to be a lifesaver. Every nurse, pediatrician, or midwife I've talked to has recommended these techniques. However, putting them into a book is really stretching the material, and involves a LOT of repetition of the same stories and arguments over and over. This could be condensed into a pamphlet. In fact, I just finished watching Dr. Karp explain the entire book in a six-minute spot on a daytime TV show (found for free on the Internet).

As an expectant parent who wants to be well informed, I have a lot of books on my reading list. This took up way more time than it should have. If you're a new/expecting parent, do yourself a favor and find this info for free on the Internet. If you want to buy this as a gift, do the expectant parents a favor and get the DVD or instant video instead.

I suggest just googling the 5 S's, a LOT of this book is spend babbling on and on justifying their ideas, when you have a screaming baby - you just want them to get to the point! Too much fluff for me, but was good information all in all.

This book was recommended by our pediatrician and many of the tips have worked great for our baby. she will not sleep swaddled but if she is ever very fussy we will swaddle her up. Twe use the other 4 S's basically every time we put her to sleep! The hair dryer on high is our best friend!
